Cruise 1st TV UK and CruiseAway Australia Presenter and Producer / Dreamlines
Presenting worldwide cruise and stay holidays packages to the UK via sky, Freeview, ITV and online. Featuring studio and location-based shows, sharing cruise brand knowledge and worldwide cruise port information. Derek also hosted a 'Cruise with Derek' in 2022 with around 150 passengers on board MSC Meraviglia in the Med, and a second hosting 450 passengers in late 2024 in Orland and a Caribbean cruise aboard MSC SeaScape. There are more of these cruises planned for 2025 and 2026 in the Caribbean and Alaska.
Cruise Away in Australia also have their own TV shows daily on the Gecko network, fronted by Derek. WATCH A SHOW

Showcasing many different themed footwear and accessory collections, dreaming up show ideas as well as fashion clothing ranges such as Klaas and Autonomy. Part of the launch project team for The 'Sewing Quarter' TV channel - working on translation of popular craft magazine titles to TV home shopping, maintaining Immediate Media's brand look and feel. Advising on presentation, strategy, training, studio and product selection - as well as match-making talent for the channel, bringing popular fashion and costume guru John Scott together with the channel. Created launch website for new local radio station for Wigan and St Helens. Basically, I was working for BT at this time - and the internet had just been born. I learned how to make a website, bought the domain - sent a fun camera to the Programme Controller at Wish FM and to be the webmaster to get a foot in the door. The sheer cheek of it worked, and it was only 15 minutes walk from where I lived!! Happy Days :)
