Friday 11th of January at 10am marks a major celebration for The Liverpool Cruise Club as a new show, 'Holiday 2013' takes to the air LIVE on sky284 - The Holiday and Cruise Channel.  It's an immense achievement after such a short time that the channel will be trialling this, the first of many live studio shows.   Derek will be presenting the show with John Cooper, which will air in a regular weekend slot.

Manchester :)

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for popping in again. Called this post January - at last because it's all been a bit of a blur lately. I'm just having a bit of a day off in Manchester to catch up with myself. I was thinking on a very quiet New Year's Eve of changing a few things - and, guess what - woke up on January 1st and forgot them all ha ha. I certainly want to travel some more this year if I can. I think it's a sign of age that I decided that 2012 went too quickly while I wasn't paying attention. So, as for resolutions - maybe just to stop a bit more often and breathe some air. Have you managed any changes so far this year? If you have, well done - and if you haven't, well there's always next year. I hope it's a cracker for you. Right, I'm going back to people-watching with a mint tea in Manchester. Have a great day :)

Hi Everyone - and a massive thanks for visiting my new website.  I'd like to say it's my own handiwork - but long gone are the days where I know one end of a computer from the other.  It has been great though starting to delve into my own archives to bring something new (well, something old) to this website.  I'm going to add more sections as time goes by - but for now, I hope you enjoy your look around.  I have lots of plans going forward in 2013 and this blog will be full of news as time goes by.  Thanks so much for your support always - and I hope you all had an ace Christmas and New Year for 2013.  Lots of Love, Derek

In September, I was lucky enough to be invited to cruise on board the newly refurbished Carnival Breeze.  Here is one of the shots from the video on-board while the ship was in port in Messina, Sicily.
